Job summary

SPC Mechanical Corporation seeks a startup and commissioning technician to help start up, sequence, commission, and turnover systems. The role trains customer facilities personnel for operation and warranty support, while maintaining high quality documentation.

Responsibilities include assisting in startup tasks, commissioning pre-testing, QA/QC punch lists, and coordinating with the project team to meet schedules. Travel to regional projects is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires current driver’s license.
• Ability to travel regionally for projects.
• Desire to learn HVAC start-up, testing, commissioning and diagnosis.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in piping system flushing and document flushing activities.
• Assist in startup and ensure equipment starts per design.
• Assist in pre-testing controls and DDC sequencing; document commissions.
• Participate in QA/QC punch list and close items.
• Support planning with PM to schedule start-up and commissioning processes.
• Coordinate with other trades on critical path and use specialized tools.
• Provide professional customer service and document turnover packages.
• Demonstrate SPC Mechanical quality standards to crew members.
• Procuring materials needed to complete tasks within contract scope.
