Job summary

DMG North is seeking an Outside Sales Product Specialist to act as the technical expert for commercial HVAC products. You will partner with the Outside Sales team to provide on-site consultations, advise on equipment selection and system applications, and support pre- and post-sale activities.

You will also assist with estimating, quotes, submittals, and installation support to ensure project success. The role requires designing HVAC solutions, preparing equipment selections, and maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with commercial HVAC equipment, systems and applications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to explain technical concepts to customers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the HVAC Product Expert: conduct on-site consultations, assess needs, recommend solutions and resolve complex questions.
• Collaborate on Commercial HVAC System Design: equipment selection, system applications, and piping layouts.
• Prepare accurate equipment selections, estimates, and quotations from mechanical plans and specs; provide replacement quotations.
• Provide technical guidance before, during, and after installation; assist customers and contractors with applications and installation support.
• Partner with customers, contractors, engineers and internal stakeholders to identify project requirements and ensure performance meets needs.
• Manage customer accounts not assigned to an Outside Sales Engineer; deliver responsive service and ongoing relationship management.
