Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking full-time HVAC Technicians for our commercial team in Denver, CO. Candidates should demonstrate a strong safety mindset and the ability to work a full-time schedule on-site in Denver.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems, performing start-ups, and coordinating with a team under supervision. Prior experience with a range of equipment (RTUs, boilers, AHUs, chillers) and a Journeyman license preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' relevant technical training or equivalent work‑related experience.
• Journeyman License preferred.
• Experience with RTU's, Boilers, MAU's, AHU's, Fans, Pumps, Cooling Towers, VAV/FPB's, Automation Systems, Chillers, Hydronic Systems, DX Cooling circuits and components.
• Comprehends technical information and blueprints for quick execution.
• Demonstrates understanding of McCarthy Safety Guidelines and Procedures.
• Exceptional safety knowledge of tools, testing devices and surroundings.

• Maintains tools, supplies and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of items and equipment are in safe operating condition.
• Prepares documentation for written support and conveying information appropriately.
• Responds to emergency situations to resolve heating/cooling and plumbing issues.
• Operates heating/air conditioning and refrigeration systems and related equipment, equipment startups.
• Create exceptional client experiences through strong relationships, knowledge of their business, and an ability to deliver impactful solutions.
• Coordinates own tasks with a specific range of responsibilities under established procedures.
• Contributes to a team under general supervision of an experienced professional or manager.
• Skilled specialist that demonstrates reliable judgment in resolving issues and making recommendations.
• Promote a positive learning environment in mentoring and directing of apprentices.
• Understand and implement lockout/tag-out procedures for safe and secure task(s)

In accordance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB19-085), we are including McCarthy's good-faith and reasonable estimate of a range of entry level base compensation at the time of the posting. This does not include possible bonus and other benefits which can impact total compensation. Given the dynamic nature of the large-scale commercial construction industry, a candidate's project portfolio and background can change the role and compensation for which that candidate might be qualified. The title and pay range for this role could change based on candidate qualifications and experience. Pay Range: $34-$38 per hour
