    • Connect ductwork to major HVAC equipment like Air Handling Units (AHUs), furnaces, and rooftop units (RTUs).
    • Seal joints with mastic duct sealant or foil tape to ensure airtight systems, and wrap ductwork in fiberglass insulation when required.

    • Use hand shears, snips, and power tools to cut and shape sheet metal precisely.
  • Blueprints & Compliance
    • Interpret architectural, mechanical, and structural blueprints to determine the exact routing of the ductwork.
    • Ensure all installations meet SMACNA (Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association) standards and local mechanical codes.
Required Licenses And Certifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a formal trade school is highly preferred.
  • Certifications:
    • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Construction Safety certification.
