JRT Mechanical Inc. in the Vancouver/Portland area is seeking a commercial HVAC/Sheet Metal foreman or installer with at least 2 years of hands-on experience. Join a team that values safety, quality, and collaboration on diverse projects.

Duties include layout, duct fabrication and installation, brazing and soldering refrigerant lines, field measurements, and adherence to safety rules. Foreman candidates will coordinate crews, attend meetings, and manage daily task assignments.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years HVAC/Sheet Metal experience required.
• Experience as foreman or installer is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Layout, measure, and mark out dimensions for ductwork and equipment.
• Assemble and install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning duct work.
• Install refrigerant lines, including brazing and soldering.
• Work from shop drawings and plans to install duct work and equipment.
• Take field measurements and perform layouts.
• Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Job Type: Full-time

JRT does perform a significant amount prevailing wage work and wages on those projects vary and are published by the State or Federal Agency.

Range: $32.00 - $48.00 per hour DOE for Private Work

Job Description

We are looking for a commercial HVAC/Sheet Metal foreman or installers with at least 2 years HVAC/Sheet Metal experience. The duties for the journeyman position include:

• Layout, measure, and mark out dimensions
• Assemble and Install heating, ventilating, and air conditioning duct work
• Install copper refrigerant lines, including brazing and soldering
• Assemble and install HVAC equipment
• Work off of sheet metal shop drawings and plans to install duct work and equipment
• Take field measurements, calculate offsets, and perform layouts
• Follow all established safety rules and regulations
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Additional Requirements For Candidates Interested In a Foreman Position

• Collaborate with the Project Manager to insure appropriate manpower and material
• Manage and direct HVAC/Sheet Metal Crews
• Conduct safety inspections and pre-task plans
• Attend weekly meetings with General Contractor/Owner
• Daily task assignment for all crew members
• Daily Reports and Timecards
