Qualifications

Job Summary

Responsible for all aspects of HVAC‑Sheet Metal functions including performing and coordinating the installation, repair, and service of HVAC‑Sheet Metal systems on a commercial job site.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Performs various field and shop tasks associated with the HVAC sheet metal trade.
• Installs, renovates, and repairs commercial/industrial HVAC air distribution systems.
• Organizes material and manpower needs for jobs/projects.
• Understands correct application of field and shop equipment to job completion.
• Layouts duct work, fittings, and specialty items to accommodate job specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 5+ years of practical HVAC sheet‑metal fabrication experience in a shop and/or field setting.
• Considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade and general construction environment.
• Skill in the care and use of tools and equipment used in the sheet‑metal trade.
• Ability to train apprentices.
• Physical activities include standing, balancing, climbing stairs and ladders, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs. required.
