B&I Contractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Foreman to lead HVAC duct installation on commercial projects in Florida. The role requires supervising crew activities, reading plans, adhering to codes, and coordinating with project managers to keep work on schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of HVAC sheetmetal experience with journeyman-level work and demonstrated leadership.
• Strong understanding of codes, commercial HVAC systems, blueprints, and construction methods.
• Proficiency with plan reading, submittals, and job orders.
• Experience using scheduling/reporting tools (e.g., Procore, Assemble, planning calendars).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Foster a culture of quality, integrity, safety, and teamwork.
• Supervise and coordinate daily crew activities to ensure quality, safety, and productivity.
• Attend weekly job site meetings in-person to communicate constraints.
• Read and interpret plans, blueprints, submittals, and orders to determine methods.
• Plan, organize, and assign tasks to utilize labor, equipment, and materials effectively.
• Maintain timekeeping, logs, safety documentation, and reports.
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with codes and specs.
• Coordinate with project managers and other trades to maintain workflow.
• Provide hands-on training and mentorship to apprentices and journeymen.
• Identify delays and communicate updates to management.
• Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and secure.
