Job summary

B&I Contractors, Inc. seeks a seasoned Sheet Metal Foreman to oversee HVAC duct installation on commercial projects in Florida. The role emphasizes safety, schedule adherence, and compliance with codes and company standards.

You will supervise a crew, read blueprints, coordinate with project managers, mentor apprentices, and maintain meticulous records. The company offers a bonus and a company truck with gas card, along with employee ownership through ESOP.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of HVAC Sheetmetal experience.
• Journeyman-level experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
• Strong understanding of codes, commercial HVAC systems, blueprints, and construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily crew activities to ensure quality, safety, and productivity.
• Read and interpret plans, blueprints, submittals, and job orders to determine work methods and requirements.
• Plan, organize, and assign tasks to effectively utilize labor, equipment, and materials.
• Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and communicate updates to supervisors or project managers.
• Provide hands-on training, mentorship, and guidance to apprentices and journeymen.
• Maintain accurate records including daily timekeeping, safety documentation, and weekly labor tracking.
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
