Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. The role requires independent work, strong problem-solving skills, and exceptional customer service to ensure high-quality, reliable service for commercial and industrial clients.

Typical duties include system startups, maintenance, diagnostics, and documenting service work.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of commercial HVAC experience.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage service calls effectively.
• Ability to pass cleared pre-employment screening and drug screening.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial/industrial HVAC systems.
• Perform system startups, maintenance, and warranty service.
• Inspect, test, and repair compressors, motors, fans, and controls.
• Service refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and humidity control systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Communicate professionally with customers and provide service recommendations.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with quality standards.
• Assist with HVAC and plumbing system installations as needed.
• Complete service documentation accurately and efficiently.

What You'll Do

As a Commercial HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. You'll work independently and alongside a supportive team to ensure customers receive reliable, high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including multi-zone heating and cooling equipment.
• Perform system startups, maintenance, and warranty service.
• Inspect, test, and repair compressors, motors, fans, controls, and related components.
• Service refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and humidity control systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Communicate professionally with customers and provide service recommendations.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with quality standards.
• Assist with HVAC and plumbing system installations as needed.
• Complete service documentation accurately and efficiently.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
