Job summary

Uhl Company in Maple Grove is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician / Service Mechanic to install, diagnose, repair and maintain HVAC systems in commercial settings. The role may involve on-call duties and potential progression toward union Pipefitter, Plumber or Sheetmetal Worker paths.

Candidates should have 3–5 years in HVAC pipefitting, EPA 608 certification, ability to read blueprints, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in HVAC pipefitting.
• EPA 608 Certification required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/schematics.
• Welding/soldering and brazing of piping connections.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and HVAC installation best practices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair HVAC systems.
• Install, assemble and repair HVAC piping systems (chilled water, steam, gas).
• Communicate with customers, owners and field staff.
• Ensure work complies with codes and internal processes.
• Collaborate with engineers and other trades on site.
