Job summary

E.R. Services in Charlotte, NC is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, service, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems while delivering excellent customer service.

You will work independently, manage your daily schedule, and participate in on-call rotation, with opportunities for advancement and ongoing training. EPA certification is required or obtainable, with a valid driver's license and strong problem-solving.

Qualifications

• EPA Certification required (or ability to obtain).
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily service schedule.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift equipment and work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, thermostats, and indoor air quality equipment
• Perform routine maintenance inspections and recommend needed repairs or system improvements
• Communicate findings, repair options, and recommendations clearly to customers
• Complete service calls efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and applicable codes
• Maintain accurate service records, invoices, and job notes using company software/devices
• Keep company vehicle, tools, and equipment clean and organized
• Participate in on-call rotation and emergency service as needed
• Maintain strong customer relationships through professionalism and dependable service
