Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced HVAC Service Technician NC for a direct hire opportunity supporting commercial HVAC service, repair, troubleshooting, and possible installation work in the Raleigh, NC area. This role is ideal for a skilled field technician with strong HVAC/R knowledge who enjoys solving mechanical problems, working directly with customers, and delivering reliable service solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and service commercial HVAC and mechanical equipment at local customer sites.
• Support commercial HVAC installations as needed based on project scope and customer requirements.
• Evaluate equipment issues in the field and recommend practical, cost-effective repair solutions.
• Communicate professionally with customers, account managers, and field team members regarding service needs and job status.
• Maintain accurate service documentation while following applicable safety, quality, and union work standards.
• Operate a company vehicle while traveling to commercial service locations in the assigned territory.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay range: $28 to $32 per hour.
• Direct hire opportunity.
• Company vehicle provided for local commercial service travel.
• Must be willing to join the local union and remain in good standing with the union.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC and mechanical systems in the field.
• Perform preventive maintenance, service calls, and equipment troubleshooting.

• Complete accurate service documentation and follow safety and quality standards.
• 6 to 10 years of HVAC service technician experience preferred for this role level.
• Strong commercial HVAC/R troubleshooting, repair, and mechanical service skills.
• Ability to evaluate equipment issues and recommend effective repair solutions.
• Experience working independently in the field while managing service priorities.
• Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, quality expectations, and applicable union work standards.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle for local service travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial HVAC installation experience.
• Experience servicing rooftop units, split systems, packaged units, and related commercial mechanical equipment.
• Previous union service environment experience.
• Strong documentation habits and experience using service work orders or field service systems.
