Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas is seeking a Service Technician II to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment in Montgomery, AL. You will service rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and related components, while mentoring Level I technicians and ensuring safety standards are followed.

You will engage with customers, document work orders, and participate in ongoing training to expand your skill set.

Qualifications

• 3+ years related experience with increasing responsibility or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Rotational Emergency Call Support as required.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance for commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
• Maintain and inspect equipment to prevent breakdowns and callbacks.
• Direct Level I technicians through hands‑on demonstrations to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, and other required items in a timely manner.
• Interact with customers, providing status reports and explaining technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
