Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking a Service Technician II to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance for commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. You will service rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and related components onsite, with opportunities to increase responsibilities as you develop troubleshooting skills.

The role involves hands-on guidance to Level I technicians, warranty service tasks, and close collaboration with customers to provide clear status updates.

Qualifications

• 3+ years related experience with increasing responsibility or equivalent education and experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• HVAC certificate from technical school or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Rotational Emergency Call Support as required.
• Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters and belts, and proper lubrication.
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment and wiring related to fan coils, water source heat pumps, AHUs, rooftops, cooling towers, and condenser tubes.
• Inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent breakdowns or callbacks.
• Perform warranty service by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality.
• Lead Level I technicians with hands-on demonstrations for troubleshooting and repair.
• Introduce centrifugal rebuilds from Lead and Level III technicians.
• Record billing, inventory, timecards, and reports timely and accurately.
• Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences; report status to customers.
