Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician II to service a range of commercial and industrial equipment in Richmond, VA or Virginia Beach, VA. You’ll receive comprehensive training and work on rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and more, with opportunities to mentor junior techs and participate in ongoing Daikin Learning programs.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repairs, warranty work, and clear communication with customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; HVAC certification preferred.
• 3+ years of HVAC or related experience.
• EPA accredited training or certification considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, replacing belts and proper lubrication.
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to fan coils, water source heat pumps, AHUs, rooftops, cooling towers, and condenser tubes.
• Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent premature breakdowns or callbacks.
• Perform warranty service applications by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality of HVAC equipment and components.
• Lead Level I technicians through hands-on demonstrations of troubleshooting and repairs.
• Introduce centrifugal rebuilds from Lead and Level III technicians.
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tips, and other articles timely.
• Interact with customers by offering status reports before, during, and after each call.
• Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including verification of employment history, education, background screening, and drug testing where permitted by law. Safety-sensitive positions may require cannabis (marijuana) testing.
