Job summary

Daikin Applied in Denver, CO is seeking a Service Technician II to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment. You will service rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and related components onsite, while documenting work and assisting junior technicians.

Minimum 3+ years in HVAC with a high school diploma or GED and HVAC certificate. A valid driver’s license is required; OSHA 10 and EPA Universal Technician certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years related experience with increasing responsibility.
• HVAC certification or technical school completion.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• OSHA 10 certification within 90 days of hire (preferred).
• EPA Universal Technician certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, replacing filters and belts, lubrication.
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment and components.
• Inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent breakdowns.
• Lead Level I technicians through hands-on troubleshooting demonstrations.
• Support centrifugal rebuilds under Lead and Level III technicians.
• Record and report time, billing, and inventory accurately.
• Explain technical information to customers in clear terms.
• Participate in training and maintain required certifications.

In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance for commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. The responsibilities will increase based on exposure to tasks, ability to develop troubleshooting skill set, and consistent and accurate completion of assignments. The HVAC equipment you will be servicing includes but is not limited to large and small rooftop units, split systems, chillers, and boilers. *Come be a part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive our* *every endeavor!***Location:**Denver, CO - Onsite**What you will do:*** Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, replacing belts and proper lubrication* Repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to fan coils, water source heat pumps, applied air handling units, rooftop units, cooling towers, and condenser tubes* Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks* Perform warranty service application by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality of HVAC equipment and components* Direct Level I technicians through hands-on demonstrations of all necessary steps to troubleshoot and repair equipment* Introduction to centrifugal rebuilds from Lead and Level III technicians* Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely manner* Interact with customers by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences* Participate in available training through regional technician trainers, off-site learning modules, and Daikin Learning.
