  • Previous residential HVAC service experience required.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of residential air conditioning, heating, heat pump, and airflow systems.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification required.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and use HVAC diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, package units, mini-splits, and related equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, tune-ups, and system safety inspections.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, airflow, refrigerant, and system performance issues.
  • Accurately identify root causes and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Clearly communicate findings, repair options, and recommendations to homeowners.
  • Educate customers on system operation, maintenance, and available solutions.
  • Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and work area.
  • Follow all company procedures, safety requirements, and applicable codes.
  • Participate in ongoing technical and customer service training.

We’re continuing to grow and are looking for an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician who takes pride in their work, knows how to diagnose and solve problems, and understands the importance of providing homeowners with an excellent service experience.

Position: Residential HVAC Service Technician

As a Residential HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing residential heating and cooling systems. You’ll work directly with homeowners to identify concerns, explain your findings clearly, and provide appropriate repair and system solutions.

We’re looking for someone who is technically strong, dependable, professional, and comfortable working independently in customers’ homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, package units, mini-splits, and related equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance, tune-ups, and system safety inspections
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, airflow, refrigerant, and system performance issues
  • Accurately identify the root cause of HVAC problems and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Clearly communicate findings, repair options, and recommendations to homeowners
  • Educate customers on system operation, maintenance, indoor comfort, and available solutions
  • Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship
  • Identify opportunities for system improvements, upgrades, and replacement when appropriate
  • Properly document diagnostics, recommendations, work performed, and job details
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional company vehicle and work area
  • Follow all company procedures, manufacturer specifications, safety requirements, and applicable codes
  • Participate in ongoing technical, customer service, and professional development training
  • Work closely with dispatch, management, installation teams, and other departments to provide a seamless customer experience
Job Requirements
  • Previous residential HVAC service experience required
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of residential air conditioning, heating, heat pump, and airflow systems
  • EPA Section 608 Certification required
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, use electrical meters, gauges, and HVAC diagnostic tools
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Professional appearance and attitude when working inside customers’ homes
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned service calls efficiently
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record based on company insurance requirements
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening, conducted in compliance with California law
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including OSHA-approved safety footwear
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and continuously improve technical skills
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 75 lbs regularly with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and outdoor environments
  • Comfortable working in hot and confined spaces commonly encountered in residential HVAC service
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical work for extended periods
  • Capable of safely handling tools, equipment, and HVAC components in a fast-paced service environment
