Job summary

AirTight FaciliTech, a Service Logic company, is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Journeyman to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex commercial HVAC systems. The role requires hands-on expertise with DX & Water Source Heat Pumps, VAV-capable RTUs, and related equipment, along with a strong customer-service mindset.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience, EPA/CFC certification, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Commercial/Industrial HVAC service technician.
• Proficient in reading schematics and using diagnostic tools.
• EPA/CFC certification and valid driver’s license.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on base building HVAC systems.
• Provide documentation and effective communication with customers.
• Participate in on-call rotation and overtime as needed.

Requirements

Essential Position Functions and Requirements:

• Candidate should be very familiar with the preventative maintenance, service, and operation of base building environmental systems. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
• Experience with maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems (DX & Water Source Heat Pumps, Split Systems, Packaged RTU's with VAV capabilities, Water Cooled Self-Contained with VFD's, Pumps, Cooling Towers, Exhaust Fans & DDC Navigation Capabilities) Exposure to Air Cooled and Water-Cooled Chillers a plus
• Excellent customer service and communication skills in areas including, but not limited to verbal, email, text & social media.
• Satisfactory completion of company background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle report
• Must be able to work both independently and in a team-based environment
• Ability to adhere to company / customer standards for preventative maintenance and repair procedures
• Close adherence to all safety requirements and proper use of appropriate PPE
• Provide all necessary documentation and paperwork to company and customers accurately in timely manner. Ability to use and navigate Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is required
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Commercial / Industrial HVAC Service Technician
• Candidate will be required to participate the on-call rotation and work overtime/weekend hours as needed to meet job requirements
