Job summary

Aire Serv of Fargo is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician who can diagnose problems, not just replace parts. This is a residential role requiring at least 2 years of hands-on HVAC service experience and the ability to troubleshoot effectively on-site. You will explain issues to homeowners and work with various equipment types.

You’ll perform on-call rotations, maintain documentation in ServiceTitan, and contribute to a collaborative team in a busy service area. Benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on HVAC service experience, preferably residential or light commercial.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC equipment.
• Comfortable working independently in customers' homes and communicating professionally with homeowners.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
• Familiarity with ServiceTitan or willingness to learn it.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC equipment on residential calls.
• Maintain and service heating and cooling systems, including heat pumps and thermostats.
• Explain problems and repair options to homeowners and document work in ServiceTitan.
• Coordinate with dispatch and team members and keep vehicle and tools ready.
• Participate in the on-call rotation as needed.

Pay Range: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour depending on experience

Aire Serv of Fargo is looking for anexperienced HVAC Service Technician who knows how to diagnose—not just replace parts.

This is a residential service position for someone with at least 2 years of hands‑on HVAC service experience who is comfortable troubleshooting and repairing equipment in customers’ homes. You should be able to work independently on most routine service calls, explain what you find to homeowners, and know when to ask the team for help on a difficult diagnosis.

What You’ll Do

Most of your day will be spent running residential HVAC service calls—troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining heating and cooling equipment. You’ll work with different manufacturers and equipment types, including heat pumps, controls and thermostats.

You’ll clearly explain problems and repair options to homeowners, complete accurate job documentation in ServiceTitan, communicate with dispatch and other team members throughout the day, and keep your company vehicle, tools, and equipment ready for service.

The typical workday is approximately 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with additional hours as needed by call volume or customer needs. Technicians also participate in a shared on-call rotation.

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of hands‑on HVAC service experience, preferably residential or light commercial
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC equipment
• Comfortable working independently in customers' homes and communicating professionally with homeowners
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements
• Comfortable using ServiceTitan or similar field‑service technology, or able to learn it
• Dependable, safety‑minded, and willing to participate in the on‑call rotation

Our best technicians want to understand why a system failed, take ownership of their work, and ask for help rather than guess. We expect technicians to help one another solve difficult problems and take care of the customer.

Physical Requirements

This is an active field position that requires working in hot, cold and confined spaces; climbing, kneeling, bending and reaching; working overhead; and lifting tools, equipment and materials up to 60 lbs.
