Job summary

Goettl Tucson is seeking an experienced HVAC technician for residential service and related sales activities. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose faults, repair heat pumps and furnaces, and advise customers on upgrades while upholding Goettl’s professional standards.

Requirements include EPA Type II or Universal certification, 2+ years HVAC and 2+ years sales experience, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and pass drug and background checks.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of residential HVAC experience.
• 2+ years of sales experience.
• EPA certification - Type II or Universal.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Pass background check.
• Must obtain EPA certification within 14 days if not already.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks (cleaning coils, electrical checks, airflow measurements, refrigerant checks, warranty work).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults of HVAC systems.
• Repair HVAC systems including heat pumps, furnaces, and water source heating.
• Recharge refrigerant, check leaks, ensure refrigerant cycle functions properly.
• Install energy-efficiency upgrades such as smart thermostats or duct sealing.
• Represent Goettl with punctuality, professionalism and appearance.
• Provide an amazing customer experience on every job.
• Participate in ongoing technical training to advance career.
• Explain maintenance procedures and recommend upgrades or replacements.
• Ensure service trucks are stocked with proper equipment and consumables.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning coils, electrical checks, airflow measurements, refrigerant checks, and warranty work of HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults of HVAC systems.
• Perform appropriate HVAC system repairs, including heat pumps, furnaces, and water sources heating
• Recharge refrigerant levels, check for leaks, and ensure the refrigerant cycle is functioning correctly in air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Perform energy-efficiency upgrades like installing smart thermostats or sealing ducts.
• Represent yourself consistent with Goettl standards for punctuality, experience, and appearance.
• Provide an amazing experience for customers on every job.
• Actively participate in ongoing technical training to improve your career trajectory.
• Ensure customers understand maintenance procedures and provide recommendations for system upgrades or replacements.
• Ensure the company truck is properly stocked with the appropriate levels of equipment, tools, and consumables.

Requirements

• 2+ years of residential HVAC experience
• 2+ years of sales experience
• EPA certified - Type II or Universal
• Proven ability to work within a team environment and be committed to educated and professional growth.
• For your safety, you must be ableto pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Must have EPA Certification (Level II or Universal Certification) or ability to obtain within 14 days
• Ability to lift more than 50 lbs. and bend, stoop, stand and crawl for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures and small spaces.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record
• Must be over 21
• Ability to provide a basic set of your own tools
• Must have flexibility to work schedule (days and hours including some nights & weekends)
