Job summary

Goettl in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician with sales aptitude to join our team. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose and repair HVAC systems, and help customers choose upgrades while upholding Goettl's standards of service and safety.

The role requires 2+ years residential HVAC experience, EPA Type II or Universal certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. A pre-employment drug screen and background check are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of residential HVAC experience.
• 2+ years of sales experience.
• EPA Certification - Type II or Universal.

• For safety, pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must have EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) or obtain within 14 days.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be over 21.
• Ability to lift more than 50 lbs and work in small spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning coils, electrical checks, airflow measurements, refrigerant checks, and warranty work of HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults of HVAC systems.
• Perform repairs including heat pumps, furnaces, and water-source heating systems.
• Recharge refrigerants, check for leaks, and ensure proper refrigerant cycling.
• Provide energy-efficiency upgrades and guidance on system improvements to customers.
• Represent Goettl with punctuality, experience, and professional appearance.
• Provide an amazing customer experience on every job.
• Participate in ongoing technical training to advance career trajectory.
• Explain maintenance procedures and suggest upgrades or replacements when needed.
• Ensure company vehicles are stocked with proper tools and consumables.

Description

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning coils, electrical checks, airflow measurements, refrigerant checks, and warranty work of HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults of HVAC systems.
• Perform appropriate HVAC system repairs, including heat pumps, furnaces, and water sources heating
• Recharge refrigerant levels, check for leaks, and ensure the refrigerant cycle is functioning correctly in air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Perform energy-efficiency upgrades like installing smart thermostats or sealing ducts.
• Represent yourself consistent with Goettl standards for punctuality, experience, and appearance.
• Provide an amazing experience for customers on every job.
• Actively participate in ongoing technical training to improve your career trajectory.
• Ensure customers understand maintenance procedures and provide recommendations for system upgrades or replacements.
• Ensure the company truck is properly stocked with the appropriate levels of equipment, tools, and consumables.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of residential HVAC experience
• 2+ years of sales experience
• EPA certified - Type II or Universal
• Proven ability to work within a team environment and be committed to educated and professional growth.
• For your safety, you must be ableto pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Must have EPA Certification (Level II or Universal Certification) or ability to obtain within 14 days
• Ability to lift more than 50 lbs. and bend, stoop, stand and crawl for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures and small spaces.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record
• Must be over 21
• Ability to provide a basic set of your own tools
• Must have flexibility to work schedule (days and hours including some nights & weekends)
