Cardinal Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join a team that values craftsmanship and customer care. You will diagnose and repair residential systems, work with furnaces, ACs, heat pumps, and IAQ equipment, and help homeowners choose maintenance plans.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential HVAC service experience.
• EPA certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass an MVR.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Availability for on-call rotation.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC diagnostics, airflow, refrigeration principles, and electrical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential HVAC systems.
• Maintain and repair furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, and IAQ equipment.
• Navigate crawlspaces and attics as needed.
• Educate customers and present repair and maintenance options.
• Present financing and maintenance plan options.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential HVAC systems.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and testing on furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, and indoor air quality equipment.
• Navigate crawlspaces and attics as needed.
• Educate customers and provide repair and replacement options.
• Present financing and maintenance plan options.
• Ensure systems are operating safely and efficiently.
• Meet and exceed service and revenue goals.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience that builds trust and generates referrals.
• Partner with customer service and dispatch teams to ensure success.
• Maintain a clean, organized truck and job site.
• Participate in training, meetings, and company events.
• Mentor and train apprentices.
• Complete invoices, timecards, and documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance
• Keep your truck inventory up to date and properly complete paperwork

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of Residential HVAC Service Experience Required.
• Valid Driver's License and able to pass an MVR.
• Availability for on-call rotation
• Strong knowledge of HVAC diagnostics, airflow, refrigeration principles, and electrical troubleshooting.
• EPA Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of local HVAC codes and industry best practices.
• Experience performing repairs, maintenance, and customer-facing service work.

• Clean driving record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High integrity and exceptional customer service skills.
