Job summary

Power Design, Inc. seeks an experienced Mechanical Service Technician to support HVAC projects, install, repair and commission systems ensuring performance aligns with design specs and safety standards.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, startup, commissioning, documenting parameters, and providing weekly status updates on warranty calls and service tickets. Travel and independence are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Skilled HVAC Technician with at least five years of service experience required; ten years of related experience preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of the IECC, ICC, and ASHRAE Standards; local codes; and construction safety requirements
• Active Journeyman or Master’s HVAC license preferred
• Experience with office software required; proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook preferred
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently; willingness to travel as required

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance; diagnose and resolve issues as they arise
• Perform HVAC system start-up and commissioning to ensure components operate per design specifications
• Document operational parameters and maintain records of commissioning activities
• Provide weekly status updates on warranty calls, small projects, service tickets, labor and material requirements
• Work as an HVAC Technician on designated job sites when not answering service calls or performing maintenance

About the PositionThe Mechanical Service Technician provides support to Power Design projects by performing Mechanical work within a specified region. This individual installs and repairs HVAC mechanical systems, fixtures, wiring, controls, and equipment as needed.Position ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative and corrective maintenance when required, diagnosing and resolving any issues as they arise.Perform HVAC system start-up and commissioningExecute initial system start-up procedures and comprehensive commissioning tasks to ensure all HVAC components operate according to design specifications and industry standards, including system calibration, performance verification, and documentation of operational parameters.Ensure that all work adheres to contract scope and specifications; job site safety and security; and Power Design’s values, policies and procedures.Provide superior customer service, developing customer relationships on a regular basis.Provide weekly status updates on warranty calls, small projects and service work, service tickets, labor requirements and material requirements.Work as an HVAC Technician on a designated job site when not answering service calls or performing maintenance.Perform other duties as assigned.Here’s What We’re Looking ForSkilled HVAC Technician with at least five years of service experience required; ten years of related experience preferred.Proficient knowledge of the IECC, ICC, and ASHRAE Standards; local codes; and construction safety requirementsEPA CertifiedOSHA 30 certification preferred.Active Journeyman or Master’s HVAC license preferredExperience with office software required.
