A-1 United Heating and Air Conditioning is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to join our team in the Omaha area. The successful candidate will install, inspect and repair heating, cooling, and ventilation systems while traveling to customer sites.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of HVAC experience preferred.
• EPA refrigerant certification required.
• Certification or associate’s degree from an HVAC program at a technical school preferred.
• Previous on-the-job training is a plus.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex HVAC issues to customers.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Punctuality and ability to adhere to a daily schedule with multiple appointments.

Responsibilities

• Travel to homes and businesses as scheduled.
• Consult with customers to determine their needs.
• Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Conduct performance tests with specialized tools.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC system issues.
• Sell ongoing maintenance contracts to customers.
• Maintain accurate records of customer appointments and transactions.
• Manage inventory of equipment and HVAC resources.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and repairing heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. Compensation

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Commission is also available for qualified sales leads.
