Centerline has an opening for a HVAC Technician located in the service area of New Haven, CT. Candidates will be dispatched from home daily with a company vehicle within a specified radius to service the New Haven area. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our fast-growing company specializing in wireless communications and facility services nationwide. Our technicians should demonstrate leadership potential, be results-oriented, and driven to succeed. The HVAC Technician will handle installation, maintenance, and repairs of heating, ventilation, and cooling units for our commercial clients, diagnosing and repairing electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.

What Will You Do

• Perform preventative maintenance on heating, air-conditioning, and ventilation systems at mission-critical sites (e.g., telecom or data centers).
• Identify repair or replacement needs.
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records (digital and written) and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
• Willingness to travel, including some overnight stays.
• EPA Universal certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Work independently, ensuring the job is done correctly the first time.
• Maintain excellent organizational skills.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Work as part of a team to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use mobile devices during work.

What You Will Need

• At least 3 years of commercial HVAC experience.
• High School Diploma or an Associate’s Degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• EPA Universal certification and HVAC Journeyman/E02 preferred.
• Experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems for commercial clients.
• Ability to travel within the service area and coordinate with dispatch.
• Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
• Document all work and equipment details upon arrival.
• Diagnose service issues, replace parts, and calibrate systems per manufacturer’s instructions.
• Perform general maintenance duties as required.
• Work independently and efficiently, ensuring quality work.
• Maintain excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Observe safety rules and work as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills and mobile device usage during work.

Travel

• Extensive travel to sites, sometimes over 100 miles/day, without overnight stays.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability under company insurance.

The pay range is $35-$50/hr, including benefits such as medical, vision, dental, 401(k), and stock options for eligible employees. The scheduled shift is Monday through Friday.
