Job summary

Kelso Industries, a nationwide provider of HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical solutions, seeks an experienced HVAC Service Technician. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial/industrial systems, read blueprints, and communicate service findings with clients.

Requirements include 3+ years in HVAC service, EPA 608 certification, and a valid driver’s license. Travel to job sites is expected; VRF experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HVAC field experience.
• EPA 608 certification (required).
• Strong reading of blueprints/electrical schematics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including rooftops, split systems, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections for optimal performance and longevity.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in HVAC equipment.
• Replace or repair defective components such as motors, compressors, fans, and thermostats.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to clients and team members.
• Maintain accurate service records of work performed and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and codes.

We are looking for an experience HVAC Technician to do preventative maintenance, diagnosis and repairs on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal system performance and longevity.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in HVAC equipment.
• Replace or repair defective components such as motors, compressors, fans, and thermostats.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding service findings and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate service records, including work performed, parts used, and system conditions.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or HVAC certification preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a similar role.
• Experience servicing and / or install VRF systems.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components.
• EPA 608 certification (required).
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.

Preferred Qualifications

• NATE certification or equivalent.
• Experience with commercial HVAC systems and equipment.
• Familiarity with digital service tools and mobile work order platforms.
