Job summary

Yellowstone Local, representing Weaver Heating & Cooling, seeks an experienced HVAC Service Technician based in Mishawaka, IN. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems, reading wiring diagrams and performing advanced diagnostics.

You must have 3+ years of HVAC experience, EPA certification, and a valid driver’s license. The role involves on-site work within a 20–30 mile radius and may include on-call emergencies and mentoring opportunities.

Responsibilities

Your New Role

• Work as an HVAC Service Technician based in Mishawaka, Indiana, serving customers within approximately a 20–30 mile radius




• Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems




• Perform advanced HVAC troubleshooting to identify equipment failures and determine appropriate repair solutions




• Troubleshoot electrical systems, controls, motors, compressors, and refrigeration components




• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical information needed to diagnose HVAC equipment




• Perform preventive maintenance and identify equipment requiring additional diagnosis or repair




• Use HVAC diagnostic tools, meters, gauges, and other service equipment safely and effectively




• Communicate system conditions, repair recommendations, and available solutions clearly and professionally with customers




• Complete required service documentation and maintain accurate records of work performed




• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, professional work environment




• Take ownership of assigned service calls and work independently while knowing when to request additional technical support




• Participate in emergency service and on‑call scheduling as required




• Depending on experience, assist with advanced troubleshooting and the training or mentoring of other technicians

• 3+ years of HVAC service experience required




• 5+ years of HVAC service experience preferred




• EPA certification required




• Valid driver’s license




• Ability to pass DMV and background checks




• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs




• Strong HVAC service, troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair skills




• Knowledge of HVAC electrical systems, refrigeration systems, controls, and mechanical components




• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics




• Ability to use HVAC diagnostic tools and equipment safely
