Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on HVAC service/repair in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
• Solid knowledge of HVAC principles: heating, cooling, refrigeration, airflow, controls, and ductwork.
• Comfort with electrical, mechanical, and piping work; boilers and commercial equipment a plus.
• Ability to diagnose faults, perform repairs, and complete installations accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and maintain HVAC systems (air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, boilers, packaged units).
• Install and commission new HVAC equipment and controls per specs and code requirements.
• Conduct preventive maintenance visits and prepare service reports and work orders.
• Recover and recharge refrigerants per EPA regulations and maintain logs.
• Read wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and manuals to determine service needs.
• Perform electrical, mechanical and piping repairs; test and calibrate controls and safety devices.

HVAC Service Technician

Location: Miami-Dade, FL

Hourly Range: $28-45 an hour (Depends on Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, install, and maintain heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems across residential, commercial, and light industrial sites. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality technical service, prioritize safety, communicate clearly with customers, and document work accurately. This role requires hands‑on troubleshooting, routine preventive maintenance, and occasional new equipment installation while adhering to applicable codes and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of HVAC systems including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, boilers, and packaged units.
• Install and commission new HVAC equipment and associated controls according to manufacturer specifications and code requirements.
• Conduct preventive maintenance visits and prepare accurate service reports and work orders.
• Recover and recharge refrigerants following EPA regulations and maintain accurate refrigerant logs.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals to determine service needs.
• Perform electrical, mechanical and piping repairs related to HVAC systems; test and calibrate controls and safety devices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as an HVAC Service Technician or Technician with a solid background in HVAC systems.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on HVAC service and repair experience in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC principles including heating, cooling, refrigeration, airflow, controls, and ductwork.
• Comfortable performing electrical, mechanical and piping work related to HVAC systems; experience with boilers and commercial equipment is a plus.
• Ability to diagnose faults, perform repairs, and complete installations accurately and efficiently.
