TDAC Heating and Air Conditioning LLC is seeking an experienced HVAC service technician.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in residential and light commercial HVAC.
• Valid driver's license with no significant traffic offenses, suspensions, or DUIs during the last five years.
• Must have a valid Social Security Card.
• Must have a current TDLR state HVAC registration certification and an EPA certification card.
• NATE certification is beneficial but not required.
• Refrigeration and installation experience is beneficial but not required.
• This position is physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling.
• Must be able to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly if necessary.
• Must consent to a drug test and background check.
• Participates in the technician on-call standby rotation on after-hours, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Willing and capable of working the schedule necessary by seasonal job needs.
• Able to withstand extreme environmental conditions such as intense heat and cold.
• Must have one's own tools.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and coworkers using effective communication skills.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing equipment.
• Respond to service requests, conduct preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems.
• Perform and promote preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Repair vents and ducting as needed.
• Promote sales of HVAC products and replacement components.
• Diagnose equipment breakdowns, test parts, and make repairs.
• Explain and gain approval for service charges.
• Perform repairs on complete systems including controls, thermostats, wiring, and motors.
• Check condensation drain lines for debris and proper drainage.
• Order parts and pick them up from vendors.
• Conduct inspections, site assessments, and service requests.
• Communicate with supervisors about job issues and complete work documentation.
• Maintain and fuel the vehicle, and keep the service truck stocked.
• Transport materials and tools to job sites.
• Complete work orders, payment collections, and other documentation.
• Provide product usage information to customers.
• Test repairs and installations to ensure proper operation.
• Ensure all repairs and installations meet quality standards.
