Design Mechanical, Inc. in Colorado is hiring an HVAC/R Technician with 3+ years of commercial experience to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC/R systems.

Reading electrical schematics, piping, fitting, welding, and coordinating on-site work with project teams are core duties. You will service and start up equipment, document work orders, stay current on manufacturers’ products, and provide technical support to customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an HVAC/R Technician in commercial applications.
• Boiler and chillers experience.
• RTU install and service expertise.
• Valid CO Driver’s License and clean MVR.
• Current EPA License.

Responsibilities

• Service products and equipment on assigned projects and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial HVAC systems.
• Use blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes or specs to diagnose and repair units.
• Prepare for on-site installation and repairs by evaluating layout and coordinating on-site work.
• Document work by completing paperwork and maintaining files.
• Keep current on manufacturers’ products related to installation, operation, maintenance, and service.
• Provide technical support to customers.

OVERVIEW:

We are adding to our Service Department and are hiring anHVAC/R Technician. We're looking for candidates with 3+ years of experience working in Commercial HVAC applications. The HVAC/R Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC/R systems utilizing their knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatic and electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding/brazing, and mechanical layouts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Performs repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial HVAC systems.
• Uses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes, or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
• Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as necessary.
• Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
• Keeps current on all manufacturers’ products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
• Provide technical support to customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years’ experience as an HVAC/R Technician
• Boiler and Chillers experience
• RTU Install and Service
• Split System AC and Furnace Install and Service
• Valid CO Driver’s License and Clear MVR
• Current EPA License
• Can successfully pass a criminal background check, drug test, and physical ensuring you can perform the duties of the job.
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Willingness to be a team player and possess leadership qualities.
