Job summary

JL Anderson Heating and Cooling, Inc. is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to service and repair commercial systems in Central Indiana, including Zionsville, Carmel, Lebanon, and surrounding communities.

You will diagnose complex HVAC equipment and perform preventive maintenance with a focus on safety and quality workmanship. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of commercial HVAC experience, EPA Universal certification, and a commitment to customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• EPA Universal Certification required; NATE certification a plus.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC equipment.
• Service rooftop units, split systems, VRF systems, boilers, VAV systems, and commercial controls.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system inspections.
• Complete equipment startups, operational testing, and performance verification.
• Install and replace commercial HVAC equipment and components as needed.
• Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, pneumatic, and control-related issues.
• Complete service documentation accurately and communicate findings with customers and office staff.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment while representing JL Anderson in the field.

• $35.00 to $40.00 per hour based on experience

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC equipment
• Service rooftop units, split systems, VRF systems, boilers, VAV systems, and commercial controls
• Perform preventive maintenance and system inspections

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of three years of commercial HVAC service experience
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Working knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical controls, schematics, and commercial HVAC equipment
• EPA Universal Certification required
• NATE Certification is a plus
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
• Comfortable working on rooftops, ladders, in mechanical rooms, and other commercial environments
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Strong communication skills and commitment to delivering excellent customer service
