Job summary

J.L. Anderson Heating & Cooling, Inc is seeking an experienced HVAC Maintenance Technician or HVAC Service Technician for our growing commercial team in Lafayette, IN.

You will diagnose, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems, troubleshoot controls, and perform startups and tests. The role requires at least 2 years of HVAC service experience, strong electrical knowledge, and EPA Universal Certification (NATE a plus).

Qualifications

• 2+ years HVAC service experience required.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and controls.
• Able to read blueprints and diagnose complex system issues.
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and electronic control systems.
• Perform system startups, testing, and performance checks.
• Install commercial HVAC equipment and components as needed.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate with customers and internal teams.
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards on every job.
