Salary: $35 - $55 per hour DOE

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Installs and repairs HVAC equipment, including basic maintenance, refrigerant addition, replacing defective parts, and installing or building new units.
• Uses diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve system problems.
• Refers to blueprints and schematics for installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
• Ensures lines, components, and connections are free of leaks and defects.
• Tests systems using appropriate tools, gauges, and instruments.
• Removes and replaces ceiling and ductwork.
• Performs regular maintenance on compressors and motors with diagnostic tools.
• Maintains records of repairs, work hours, and system issues.
• Complies with laws and requirements for refrigerant handling.
• Participates in on-call rotation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Thorough understanding of HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment effectively.
• Ability to work in diverse conditions, including noisy equipment rooms, extreme weather, and high-risk areas.
• Physically demanding role requiring regular use of hands, walking, stooping, climbing ladders, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, and over 50 pounds occasionally.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with power and hand tools.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Excellent communication skills for customer interaction.
• Valid Driver's License.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• OSHA 10 or 30-Hour Certification.
• NFPA 51b Hot Works Certification.
• HVAC Technician License.
