Job summary

Paradise Plumbing & Air Conditioning in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair residential systems. You will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and replace components to ensure optimal performance.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid HVAC license/certification, and strong troubleshooting and customer service skills. A valid driver’s license is also required for on-site visits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Residential Service HVAC Technician or similar role.
• Valid HVAC technician license/certification.
• Strong technical skills in diagnosing and repairing residential HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC codes, safety standards, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair residential HVAC systems (heating, cooling, ventilation).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues and recommend solutions.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance.
• Replace components (compressors, motors, thermostats, filters, ductwork).
• Coordinate with team and manage service calls efficiently.
• Communicate with customers professionally and document work performed.
• Keep records of equipment status, repairs, and time spent.
• Stay updated on industry advancements and new technologies.

As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair residential HVAC systems. You will also be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting systems.

HVAC Service Technician Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of residential HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues to identify the root cause of malfunctions and recommend effective solutions.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and identify potential problems before they escape.
• Install, repair, or replace components, such as compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, filters, and ductwork.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate work schedules, prioritize service calls, and efficiently complete assignments.
• Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their concerns, explaining repair options, and providing recommendations for system improvements.
• Accurately document service activities, including equipment status, repairs performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
• Stay updated on industry advancements, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance technical skills and knowledge.

HVAC Service Technician Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Residential Service HVAC Technician or similar role.
• Valid HVAC technician license/certification.
• Strong technical skills and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing residential HVAC systems.
• Solid knowledge of HVAC codes, regulations, and safety standards.
