Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician II in Boone, NC to service a range of commercial and industrial equipment, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and heat pumps. You’ll receive comprehensive training through in-person, online, and on-the-job programs and lead Level I technicians when needed.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and warranty service applications while maintaining documentation for billing, inventory, and timecards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or HVAC certification preferred.
• 3+ years in HVAC or related industry.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• EPA Universal Technician Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, belts and lubrication.
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring for fan coils, water source heat pumps, AHUs, rooftops, chillers, boilers.
• Inspect equipment to prevent breakdowns and callbacks.
• Perform warranty service applications by testing and verifying functionality.
• Guide Level I technicians through hands-on troubleshooting and repair steps.

Come be part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive everything we do!**Location:**Boone, NC**Your Responsibilities:*** Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, replacing belts and proper lubrication* Repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to fan coils, water source heat pumps, applied air handling units, rooftop units, cooling towers, and condenser tubes* Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks* Perform warranty service application by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality of HVAC equipment and components* Direct Level I technicians through hands-on demonstrations of all necessary steps to troubleshoot and repair equipment* Introduction to centrifugal rebuilds from Lead and Level III technicians* Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely manner* Interact with customers by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences* Participate in available training through regional technician trainers, off-site learning modules, and Daikin Learning.
