Job Description:

As an HVAC Technician, or Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, cooling, and ventilation systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. You'll ensure that these systems operate efficiently and provide comfortable indoor environments for occupants.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation: Install heating, cooling, and ventilation systems according to manufacturer specifications, building codes, and design plans. This includes placing and connecting components such as furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, thermostats, and more.
2. Maintenance: Perform scheduled inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and component replacement to prevent breakdowns and maintain optimal efficiency.
3. Repair: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, including fixing leaks, replacing motors, and electrical repairs.
4. Testing and Calibration: Test systems for proper functionality and calibrate thermostats, sensors, and controls.
5. Refrigerant Handling: Handle refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations and safety protocols.
6. Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers to explain issues, provide solutions, and recommend maintenance or upgrades.
7. Documentation: Keep detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and installations.
8. Safety and Regulations: Follow safety protocols and industry regulations.
