Job summary

TP Mechanical is seeking a Service Technician to perform daily service work on HVAC heating, cooling, boiler, chiller and refrigeration systems. You will read blueprints, communicate effectively, and represent TP Mechanical Contractors professionally on every job.

Qualifications include 5–7 years of commercial experience; KY HVAC licenses; EPA or Universal License. You will troubleshoot, install and service equipment, read plans, and collaborate with customers and fellow technicians to ensure

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day labor allocation to keep jobs timely and profitable.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, hydronic, piping and control problems.
• Follow up with customers for QA and satisfaction; ensure 100% happiness.
• Serve as senior technical support for other Service Technicians.
• Attend job-site/office meetings; prepare forms, tool/equipment requests.
• Be dependable and able to work in emergencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsible for daily Service work. Service Technician position will work on HVAC heating, cooling, boiler, chiller, and refrigeration systems. Responsible for reading and understand blueprints, effective communication with all others, and representing TP Mechanical Contractors in a professional manner.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Manages day-to-day allocation of labor to ensure jobs are taken care of in a timely, complete, and profitable manner.
• Troubleshoot and solve HVAC, hydronic, piping and control problems.
• Follows up with customers for quality assurance purposes and ensures customers are 100% satisfied.
• Acts as the senior technical support for other Service Techs. Can answer most technical questions and help with almost any issue.
• Attend, if needed, all job site and office meetings related to assigned projects. Is well prepared to handle issues that may come up. Fill out all forms, revisions, requests for tools/equipment/material that are required for each project.
• Dependable and able to work in emergency situations when called.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Experience

Experience/Qualifications Required

• 5-7 years commercial experience in plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration.
• Stable work history.
• HVAC licenses for KY Regions only.
• EPA or Universal License.

Job Skills

• Ability to read blueprints.
• Knowledge of general plumbing, HVAC and refrigeration repair and installation.
• Working knowledge of all hand and power tools.
• Able to use all specialty tools including Recovery Machine, Multi Meter, Combustion Analysis.
• Able to install equipment.
• Very strong technical background.
• Works within precise limits or standards of accuracy and productivity.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Education

• High School or GED Equivalent.
• Trade School a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Eyesight correctable to 20/50.
• Able to work long hours on feet.
• Able to lift and climb ladders and scaffolds.
• Able to perform shift work.
• Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 60 lbs.
• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must not be afraid of heights.

Special Requirements

• Valid Driver's License.
• Must provide their own basic hand tools.
• OSHA 10 Construction Industry.
