Job summary

ARS-Rescue Rooter is seeking a skilled HVAC technician for residential service in Durham, NC. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioning units, while delivering professional customer service and maintaining safety and code compliance.

The role requires 3 years of residential HVAC experience, EPA certification or ability to obtain it, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• 3 years of residential HVAC experience.
• EPA certification required (or ability to obtain).
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• Ability to work in attics and crawlspaces and lift heavy HVAC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioning units.
• Perform HVAC repairs, service calls, and preventative maintenance.
• Identify system issues and recommend heating and air conditioning solutions.
• Ensure all HVAC service work meets company standards and local code requirements.
• Communicate clearly with homeowners about system performance and recommended repairs.
• Deliver professional customer service while completing HVAC service and repair work.

Pay: $80,000 - $120,000 annually - hourly plus commissions. Earning potential: Earning potential over $100K/year based on performance. Sign-on Bonus: Up to $5,000 depending on experience and interview. Full-time, year-round work.
