Johnson Barrow is seeking an Associate HVAC Service Technician to support our commercial HVAC service team on a project in Buffalo, NY. This entry-level role suits a dependable, organized person eager to learn the commercial HVAC trade.

You will help manage parts and materials, keep job trailers and equipment organized, document jobsite conditions, and assist technicians to ensure smooth operations in the field.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (50+ lbs regularly).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills (inventory systems, shipping software a plus).
• Reliable, team-oriented, and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Parts & Materials Support: pick up and deliver HVAC parts, tools, and materials to jobsites as needed.
• Serve as a parts runner for service technicians and project teams.
• Receive parts and materials delivered to the shop, warehouse, or jobsite.
• Verify deliveries against packing slips and identify missing or damaged items.
• Organize parts and materials so they are easy to locate when needed.
• Help maintain accurate inventory of commonly used service parts and materials.
• Track parts that are being used, returned, or need to be reordered.
• Keep service vehicles, storage areas, and jobsite materials organized.
• Assist HVAC technicians with general jobsite support.
• Take clear pictures of HVAC equipment, components, and jobsite conditions when requested.
