Job summary

Frank Gay Services is seeking a Residential HVAC Service Supervisor to lead the service team, coach technicians, and drive performance while ensuring top-notch customer satisfaction. The role focuses on training across customer service, sales, and technical knowledge, with a strong emphasis on safety and cross-department collaboration.

The supervisor will coordinate field technicians, monitor performance metrics, and plan weekly meetings to maintain high service standards and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of HVAC residential service experience with diagnostic troubleshooting and repair, including air conditioning & heating systems.
• At least 3 years of HVAC Service Technician experience with the ability to train others.
• Willing to work outdoors in any weather conditions.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move 75+ pounds.
• Some local travel is expected for this position.

Responsibilities

• Partnering Across Departments: Collaborate with installation, dispatch, warehouse, and other necessary departments to ensure timely and accurate service to customers by company standards and procedures.
• Customer Resolution: Follow up and resolve escalated customer disputes/complaints, ensuring effective and long-term problem resolution.
• Performance Monitoring: Act on the department’s projected and forecasted performance goals, including average ticket per call, percentage of sales leads, average callbacks, and number of COD calls completed.
• Feedback and Support: Provide regular feedback to the Service Line Operations Manager and consistent support, professional development, and coaching to all service technicians.
• Technician Communication: Maintain effective communication with each technician to ensure clear understanding of goals and expectations.
• Weekly Meetings: Plan, develop, and lead weekly technician meetings with appropriate, positive, and balanced content.
• Safety Integration: Ensure that safety topics are incorporated into coaching conversations, weekly meetings, and training sessions.
