Job summary

Haynes Mechanical Systems seeks a Service Repair Specialist (Service Sales Representative) to generate prompt repair proposals from HVAC/service technicians’ findings during service calls and preventive maintenance at contract sites.

This role collaborates with dispatch, technicians, supervisors, and account managers to streamline proposals, ensure accuracy, and support sales initiatives with a focus on safety and timely follow-ups.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years in customer service, sales support, or a technical HVAC role.
• Strong HVAC knowledge including repairs, labor estimating, and parts sourcing.
• Proficient in pricing research via supplier databases and industry tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for internal teams and customers.
• Ability to manage multiple proposals with attention to deadlines.
• Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license may be required for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Review technician reports on equipment issues from service calls or maintenance visits.
• Develop thorough repair proposals with descriptions, labor, and timelines.
• Research pricing, availability, and sourcing options from suppliers for accurate quotes.
• Identify alternative parts or solutions when supply issues arise.
• Collaborate with service technicians and supervisors to validate repair scopes.
• Follow up on proposals and communicate status to customers and internal teams.
• Maintain records of proposals, approvals, and outcomes in the CRM/proposal system.
• Monitor proposal status and address customer questions to secure approvals.
• Ensure all proposals comply with company standards, safety regulations, and contracts.
• Assist Account Managers on large repairs and project sales for commissions.
