Job summary

Top Tech Mechanical Services, Inc. in Kennesaw, Georgia is seeking a seasoned Service and Installation Operations leader to drive daily field performance, profitability, and accountability.

You will oversee both Service and Installation departments, coach technicians and installers, optimize scheduling, and partner with ownership to build a scalable, high‑quality operation. This role rewards hands‑on leadership and a track record of improving margins.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of residential HVAC experience.
• Previous HVAC service management or operations leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of diagnostics, airflow, refrigeration, electrical, and IAQ in residential HVAC.
• Experience managing service technicians and installation teams.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
• Experience with KPIs, job costing, profitability, and operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop our residential and light commercial Service Department.
• Oversee the Installation Department and support installation leadership to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, profitably, and at the highest quality standards.
• Manage daily field operations for service technicians and installers.
• Work closely with dispatch and office staff to maximize scheduling efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct technician and installer ride‑alongs, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
• Review job costing, department profitability, callbacks, warranty expenses, and labor efficiency.
• Ensure technicians and installers follow company processes, pricing, and quality standards.
• Resolve customer escalations professionally and efficiently.
• Recruit, interview, train, mentor, and develop future leaders.
• Continuously improve operational systems, workflows, and overall company performance.
• Work directly with ownership to help drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence.

• Experience reviewing KPIs, job costing, profitability, and operational performance.
• Comfortable holding people accountable while building a positive culture.
• Experience with Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, or similar service management software is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting Salary: $80,000
• Aggressive performance-based bonus program.
