Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Journeyman to join our team. This full-time role offers strong pay, benefits, and opportunities to work with seasoned professionals on commercial systems.

You will service, maintain, and repair HVAC equipment, diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and contribute to customer satisfaction while following safety standards and using company software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical school training is a plus).
• Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Customer-focused attitude with strong communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work indoors, outdoors, at heights, or in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in commercial settings.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on rooftop units, split systems, furnaces, air handlers, and more.
• Manage and maintain company vehicle inventory.
• Assist with installations and system upgrades.
• Understand the value of preventive maintenance and what it can create.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and communicate clearly with customers.
• Document service work using company software.
• Follow safety standards and best practices at all times.
