Job summary

Daikin Applied, a leader in the HVAC industry, seeks a Service Coordinator in the Washington DC area to manage scheduling, dispatch, and documentation for field Technicians. This role focuses on customer interaction, billing, and warranty administration while coordinating across service teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

The successful candidate will bring 2+ years in MEP service, strong MS Office skills, and experience with service-tracking software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in MEP service field.
• Experience in boiler or installation service preferred.
• Experience with Astea Alliance or other service tracking software.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch Technicians with Supervisor, Service Center, or District Manager.
• Handle customer inquiries and route technical questions to the right resource.
• Track time and attendance for Technicians.
• Coordinate job start-ups and communicate scheduling with customers.
• Invoice and bill customers.
• Perform local office AP/AR functions and follow up on payments.
• Coordinate warranty administration; order parts and track shipments.
• Answer phones and greet customers; maintain professional contact.
• Enter information into Astea Alliance; manage work orders and hours for billing.
• Close-out work orders timely and file all paperwork.

Location:

In office in Bowie, Maryland

What you will do:

• Work with the Technician Supervisor and/or Operations, Service Center, or District Manager in scheduling and dispatching of Technicians for jobs (start-ups/repairs, warranty, maintenance)

• Handle customer inquiries and routes questions of technical nature to the appropriate resource

• Track of time and attendance for Technicians

• Coordinate job start-ups and maintain communication with customer regarding scheduling for the start-up and follow-up on jobs in progress/completed

• Invoice and bill customers

• Perform local office AP/AR functions. Follow up with customer to ensure that payment has been received

• Coordinate warranty administration process. Order parts and tracks shipments.

• Answer telephones and greets customers. Maintain professional and courteous customer contact.

• Enter all information and maintains information into Astea Alliance including work orders, new customer information, and technician hours for billing purposes

• Ensure timely close-out on all work orders and that all associated paperwork (P.O., etc.) is received and filed with the proper job

• Gather local prevailing wage rate and completing sending hours worked by Technicians on those PW jobs to Human Resources

• Organize and coordinates inventory processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Bachelors Degree (preferred)

• 2+ years related experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) service field

• Experience in Boiler or installation service (preferred)

• Experience with Astea Alliance or other service tracking software

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $28.41 - $45.11 in Maryland. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
