Responsibilities

• Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems under the guidance of a senior technician.
• Perform routine service tasks including filter changes and system checks.
• Troubleshoot minor issues and escalate complex problems to senior technicians.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and safe work practices.
• Communicate with clients to explain services and schedule appointments.
• Complete required training and certifications to advance skills.

Position Overview

The HVAC Service Apprentice will work closely with our experienced service technicians, assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals who are eager to learn and develop their skills in the HVAC field. As you gain hands‑on experience and complete the required training, you will have the opportunity to earn raises every six months, with the potential to transition to a Senior Service Technician role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems under the guidance of a senior technician.
• Perform routine service and maintenance tasks, including cleaning filters, replacing parts, and checking system performance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose minor HVAC issues, escalating more complex problems to senior technicians.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and ensure all tools and equipment are in proper working condition.
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies while on job sites.
• Communicate with clients to explain services, schedule appointments, and provide updates on the progress of work.
• Complete required training courses, certifications, and skills development to ensure continual professional growth.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, additional technical education or HVAC coursework a plus.
• Previous experience in a hands‑on technical role (e.g., construction, mechanical work) is beneficial, but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑service‑oriented attitude.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
• Must be able to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
