Job summary

Christman Facility Solutions is seeking an HVAC Senior Technician to service commercial HVAC systems across the Metro Dallas region. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and packaged units.

You will diagnose complex issues, perform preventative maintenance, and provide detailed repair estimates. The position requires travel, a valid driver’s license, and EPA refrigerant certification. OSHA-compliant safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience as a commercial HVAC service technician.

• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and work on rooftops/mechanical rooms.

Responsibilities

Christman Facility Solutions is looking for an HVAC Senior Technician to service commercial HVAC systems in the Metro Dallas region.

What You Will Do

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and packaged units.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC system malfunctions, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues.
• Conduct thorough inspections of HVAC systems to identify deficiencies, inefficiencies, and potential areas for improvement.
• Provide detailed repair estimates and recommendations to commercial clients and communicate effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with building managers, facility owners, and other stakeholders to schedule service appointments and minimize disruptions to operations.
• Keep accurate records of all service calls, including parts used, labor hours, and equipment history.
• Stay current on industry standards, codes, regulations, and emerging technologies related to commercial HVAC systems.
• Adhere to safety protocols and best practices at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA guidelines.

Expected Hours of Work and Travel

Full‑time position with occasional extended hours and weekends. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel at least 60 miles a day. Longer distance and overnight travel may be required depending on project location.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a commercial HVAC service technician or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• EPA certification for handling refrigerants (e.g., Universal Certification).
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment, work on rooftops and in mechanical rooms.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including controls, refrigeration circuits, and mechanical components.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex HVAC issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
