Job summary

Summers Plumbing, Heating and Cooling is seeking an HVAC Sales Technician to sell equipment and service, with commissions and bonuses on top of hourly pay. The role emphasizes customer interaction in homes or businesses and ongoing product training.

Ideal candidates will understand HVAC operation, IAQ concepts, and be able to troubleshoot and quote replacements. This position offers growth potential in a employee-owned company with comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Determine residential HVAC service needs and perform repairs; interact with customers in homes and businesses.
• Understand residential heating and cooling equipment operation, IAQ, air distribution systems and basic repairs.
• Training to expand knowledge base with further certification.
• Troubleshoot and repair a variety of residential HVAC systems and install IAQ products per specifications and codes.
• Lift and maneuver equipment up to 25 lbs; climb ladders and work overhead.
• Follow company policies and promote equipment and promotional materials.

Summers Plumbing, Heating and Cooling is looking for an addition or two to our Sales Tech group.We offer a very competitive hourly rate with commissions, bonuses and spiffs on top of your hourly pay.

Responsibilities

• Candidates must have the ability to determine residential HVAC service needs, and perform repairs. Employees must be able to interact and communicate well with customers in their homes and businesses.
• Candidates will understand residential heating and cooling equipment operation, IAQ, air distribution systems and basic repairs of HVAC appliances and fixtures.
• Training to expand knowledge base and areas of expertise will be provided with further certification expected.
• All interested candidates must currently be able to troubleshoot and repair a variety of residential HVAC systems as well as install supporting IAQ products according to manufacturer's specifications and applicable codes.
• Must be able to lift and maneuver equipment up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to crawl, climb, kneel, squat, bend and reach overhead
• Must be able to climb and work on ladders
• Must be able to use hand and power tools
• Drug testing, background checks and valid driver's license are conditions of employment
