Job summary

MB HAYNES Corporation in Asheville, NC is seeking an on-call Residential HVAC Technician to service and troubleshoot home systems. You will diagnose and repair heat pumps, ACs, furnaces and boilers, and perform routine maintenance to ensure customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 3 years of field experience, a valid driver’s license, and EPA certification. A positive attitude, reliability, and PPE knowledge are essential to join our team.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• 3 years field experience in residential HVAC service.
• Universal EPA certified.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Trade school degree a plus but not required.
• Positive and cooperative attitude with excellent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Service and troubleshoot residential HVAC equipment on schedule.
• Work with minimal supervision to diagnose and repair systems.
• Repair HVAC mechanical systems including heat pumps, air conditioners, furnaces and boilers (oil and gas).
• Perform scheduled maintenance and recommend system improvements or repairs.

Position Summary

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ON CALL WHEN SCHEDULED. Service and troubleshoot residential HVAC equipment. Must be driven to succeed and be able to work with minimal supervision. This position is responsible for servicing all residential HVAC system issues on time and to the customers satisfaction. Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing residential HVAC mechanical systems including but not limited to heat pumps, air conditioners, oil and gas fired furnaces and boilers. Perform scheduled maintenance, suggesting and performing system improvements, modifications and repairs.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass pre employment background and drug screening
• Must have a valid drivers license
• 3 years field experience in the residential HVAC service trade
• Universal EPA certified
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Trade school degree a plus but not required
• Must have positive and cooperative attitude and excellent attendance
• Must be able to get along with fellow workers, customers and the public
• Properly use safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE)
