Job summary

Oklahoma State University in Stillwater is seeking a HVAC technician to install, operate, and maintain a range of cooling and heating equipment on campus. You will read engineering blueprints, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, piping and refrigeration systems, and perform repairs or recommend solutions.

Qualifications

High School/GED required conferred by start date.
Two years HVAC/building trades experience or post-secondary HVAC education.
Lead role requires four years experience or education with two years in HVAC.
Post-secondary education may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

Install, operate, and maintain HVAC equipment from 1/8 hp vent units to 35-ton rooftop units.
Read blueprints and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, piping, and refrigeration systems.
Provide repairs or recommendations; troubleshoot non-refrigeration controls and systems.
Support Facilities Management; standby after 5 p.m., overtime, and shift work as needed.
Perform snow/ice removal and respond to emergencies; use PPE as required.
