Job summary

Mechanical Services & Design in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Special Projects Journeyman to perform hands-on HVAC and refrigeration installations for commercial clients. You will install, troubleshoot, and commission equipment, coordinating with customers and team members to meet project objectives.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of field experience, EPA refrigerant certification, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience installing HVAC packages, split systems, and refrigeration.
• EPA refrigerant certification.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• US Driver’s license, clean record.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, or remove key equipment on job sites.
• Coordinate installation procedures with clients and team.
• Conduct on-site visits to assess requirements.
• Perform inspections to ensure safety and quality.
• Oversee material ordering and tracking.
• Maintain logs and submit progress reports.
• Keep up to date with industry standards and certifications.
